RTG Bills Makes Billing EasierSanta Monica, California; July 13, 2010 -- RTG has announced a major new release of RTG Bills and RTG Timer, its timekeeping and billing software for law firms and sole practitioners. RTG Bills has improved the way it e-mails PDF bills to clients. A single PDF attachment can include both a summary of the client's matters and the bills for those matters. Also, the speed at which bills are sent by e-mail, and the number of bills that are sent in a single batch, can be adjusted to avoid the limitations that some mail servers impose. RTG Bills monitors the success or failure of each e-mail message it sends, so that any messages that fail can be re-sent. RTG Timer, which is optimized for time entry, displays a list of recently-edited fees on its main window, making it easier than ever to switch among several tasks. Additional new features include five-character task codes, required for the UTBMS patent and trademark codes, and several new reports. RTG Bills and RTG Timer cost $95, which includes one license for RTG Timer. RTG Bills is designed for law firms and sole practitioners. It combines the ease-of-use of Windows with the power and reliability of a relational database. RTG Timer, included with RTG Bills, uses a computerized "stopwatch" so that attorneys can time their work. RTG Timer can communicate with RTG Bills over a network, or it can be used independently on a notebook computer or a home PC. RTG offers a free trial of RTG Bills and RTG Timer on its Web site at www.rtgsoftware.com so that potential buyers can evaluate the programs before they purchase them. During the 45-day trial period, all program features are available. RTG Bills and RTG Timer are compatible with Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP.
